On the occasion of Arbor Day, the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Baghdad witnessed a distinguished environmental initiative. The Women’s Affairs Unit organized an extensive afforestation campaign within the college gardens to enhance environmental awareness and put a culture of caring for green spaces.
The campaign included planting various trees and plants with the participation of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Hameed Ali Kadhim, alongside several faculty members, staff, and students. Everyone contributed with a unified team spirit to improve the university environment and add an aesthetic appeal befitting the college.
The Head of the Women’s Affairs Unit emphasized that this initiative is part of a series of activities aimed at supporting environmental sustainability and encouraging students to adopt positive behaviors toward nature.
