The College of Veterinary Medicine is a highly regarded educational, research, and advisory institution focusing on education, community service, and animal wealth development. It prepares students with a Veterinary Medical and Scientific culture to effectively practice their profession while also being responsible for conserving and developing animal wealth and innovation in Veterinary Medicine. It was established in 1955 in Iraq by Dr Sadiq Al-Khayat, the 1st Dean. Firstly, many of the lecturers were from different Countries outside of Iraq.
