The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Baghdad hosted the professional oath-taking ceremony for its graduating students of the current academic year.

The event was attended by the Dean of the College, Prof Dr. Hameed Ali , Prof Dr. Orooba M Saeed, Associate Dean for Scientific and Student Affairs, Prof Dr. Mohammed Thabit , Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, alongside members of the College Council, the faculty body, and a gathering of students and their families.

The ceremony commenced with welcoming remarks that underscored the vital humanitarian and professional mission carried out by veterinary doctors in serving the community, safeguarding public health, and protecting livestock resources. This was followed by the professional oath-taking proceedings, which embodied the graduates’ commitment to professional ethics as well as scientific and humanitarian principles.

The event also featured the honouring of students with winning research papers among the distinguished graduation projects, in recognition of their scientific efforts and research creativity. They were awarded certificates of appreciation to honour their achievements, which contributed to supporting scientific research and enhancing the academic journey within the college.
