Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and under the direct supervision of the President of the University of Baghdad, Prof/Dr. Bahaa Ibraheem Ansaf, and the Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, Prof/Dr. Hameed Ali Kadhim;

The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Baghdad announces its 16th Local (5th International) Scientific Conference, titled:

“Enhancing the Role of Veterinary Medicine in Food Security and Sustainable Development”

The conference will be held from April 1st to 2nd, 2026, with the participation of a distinguished group of researchers and specialists. The conference committee invites esteemed researchers to submit their full research papers to the following email address:

The submission period is set from December 15, 2025, until February 15, 2026.

The conference aims to review the latest research highlighting the role of veterinary medicine in supporting food security and achieving sustainable development, alongside specialized scientific sessions and tracks. We invite all researchers and interested parties to participate and attend the conference activities.

Track I: Basic Sciences

Physiology, Biochemistry, and Pharmacology.

Accepted research papers will be published in the following journals:

  1. The Iraqi Journal of Veterinary Medicine: A peer-reviewed scientific journal indexed in international databases (Scopus Q2).Publication Fee (Full Paper): 100,000 IQD.

2. Veterinary Journal of Experimental and Applied Research: A local journal issued by the College of Veterinary Medicine.

Publication Fee (Full Paper): 100,000 IQD.

3. Open Veterinary Journal: An international journal (Scopus Q3).

Publication Fee (Full Paper): 560,000 IQD.

Plagiarism Detection Fee (Electronic Check): 25,000 IQD (Required for all journals).

Participation Options

Attendance without research: 25,000 IQD (Includes a certificate of participation).

Poster Presentation: (Participation via scientific poster).
