Within the 2024-2031 strategic plan of the Ministry of Higher Education, the Continuing Education Unit organised an Artificial Intelligence Week from November 11 to 13. The following lectures were included:
Day 1:
- Firstly, Dr Adel Jabbar Al-Rubai, discussed the significance of AI as a scientific revolution permeating all aspects of life.
- A/Prof Dr Layla Hashim delivered a lecture on an introduction to AI and its role in improving work, as well as useful and safe AI tools.
- A/Prof Dr Rafal Abdul Daim provided an overview of important programs, especially ChatGPT, and their use in various fields, particularly scientific Research . The attendees presented practical examples of these applications.
Day 2:
- A lecture on the role of AI in veterinary medicine presented by Dr. Hassan Falah and Dr. Bara Najim, who discussed practical applications of AI in veterinary medicine.
- Ms. Mayas Mohammad presented the role of AI in education, and its importance in reducing efforts to expedite the educational process correctly. She surveyed attendees regarding the role of AI in education.
Day 3:
- Dr Ali Hassan discussed the role of AI in preventing the spread of germs to humans and animals.
- Translator Lamya Fouad presented the role of AI (GPT) in translation for all languages.
- Finally, a survey and evaluation of the course conducted.
- In the conclusion of this week, recommendations declared to hold other weeks to enrich this topic with the latest developments.
