Human Resources (HR) is the department responsible for managing an organization's people. HR focuses on attracting, developing, and retaining employees, ensuring compliance with labour laws, and fostering a positive work environment. Key HR functions include recruitment and selection, onboarding, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and training and development. HR plays a crucial role in aligning the workforce with an organization's strategic goals and contributing to its overall success.

It is responsible for auditing the salaries and financial allocations of permanent and temporary faculty members. Auditing additional lecture fees for undergraduate and graduate students, as well as external lecturers, before and after disbursement. It reviews payment documents, all financial records, and settlement documents.

This unit plays a fundamental and central role in the college. It is connected to all departments, divisions, and administrative units. It manages databases for the college's staff, faculty, and students. The Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs manages that unit.

The Media and Government Communication Unit includes media, the website, and the internet. Media plays a significant role in highlighting the scientific and cultural activities of all academic branches, departments, and administrative units, documenting information, and publishing it through the university's publications and others, including media on satellite channels.

Quality assurance procedures require carefully reviewing its objectives, mission, processes, achievements, and capabilities (self-assessment), then identifying weaknesses and strengths and working on addressing the weaknesses. Additionally, it involves conducting performance evaluations for the college staff.

The library of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Baghdad serves as a rich scientific resource, containing a wide range of modern scientific books, including the latest publications. It also provides approved textbooks for graduate and postgraduate students, as well as international journals.
